Fruit Fast: Day One
Starting Weight: 117 lbs.
Starting Measurements:
- Hips: 37 in.
- Waist: 25.5 in.
- Chest: 31.75 in.
- Thighs: 21.5 in.
Height: 5 ft. 4.5 in.
Went to work today, and already screwed up the diet by eating regular foods. Gah, I need a stronger will. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Fruit Fast: Day Zero

For the week of October 19 - October 25, I will be on the Fruit Fast.
What is the fruit fast, you ask?
"One good option for weight loss, especially for those who want to eat a healthy diet even while they lose weight, is a fruit fast. During a fruit fast, dieters generally eat and drink nothing but fresh fruit and freshly squeezed fruit juices. By eating fruit, dieters get all the nutrients their bodies need to be healthy, but cut most of the fats out of their diet.
Fruit fasts are also good for weight loss because you can eat all of the fruit you want while on the diet. Another benefit of a fruit fast is that the body converts the sugar in fruit directly into glucose. Glucose is the main food of the brain. By keeping your brain will fed, you won't feel the 'fogginess' or lack of concentration you often get with a water only fast.
If you want to lose weight, but don't like the dizziness and light headedness that comes along with a water only diet, you might want to try a fruit fast. This diet will give your body the fuel it needs to keep going, but still allows you to lose weight."

For the next week, I will be eating nothing but fruits. I'm going to modify it slightly, and drink milk once a day so I am still getting a little amount of protein.

Introduction
First, I would like to get this out in the open right away: No, I do not have an eating disorder, but yes, I am obsessive about my body and its health and weight status. Not only am I doing this for my own benefit, but I am also doing this so other people who are worried about their own well being can benefit from what I experience on certain diets and fitness programs. This blog is more of a tool than a journal; I would like to help people find the perfect diet and fitness routine for their bodies and help them achieve their goals in the healthiest way possible. I am not promoting irrational weight loss, nor am I promoting anorexia, bulimia, EDNOS, or any other eating disorder; the last thing I would want is to have someone seriously injure themselves from too severe of a diet or exercise regimen. I want people to achieve their weight loss goals, but at the same time, I want them to embrace their bodies and health and take care of it as if it were their children.
Second, I am writing this at around midnight, when I am usually in bed asleep. If none of this makes sense, please, bear with me.
Third, welcome to my little corner of the internet. Here, I will be posting diets and exercises that I will tackle, and in the course of a certain amount of time, give you any results I gather and my thoughts on each diet and exercise. I will look up these diets and exercises on the internet, but I also encourage you to send me your ideas, or your questions on a diet/exercise you'd like to try. I am here to help!
